With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nellie Mae Clendenen of Bristol, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sanford Tucker and Poolie Brown Tucker; her husband James Clendenen; her daughter Mae Clendenen Mann; and her brothers, Albert Tucker, Junior Tucker and Jimmy Tucker.
She is survived by: her son Paul Clendenen (Patty); her grandchildren, Andrew Clendenen (Brittany), Zachary Clendenen, Clint Grubb (Monica) and Ashely Grubb; and her sisters, Hazel Sells, Linnie Odum (Tommy) and Josie Carr (Bill). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
