He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward McDevitt, Sr. and Mary Johanna Burton McDevitt; his granddaughter River McDevitt; and his sibling's children, Nicholas Taylor McDevitt and Carol Lee Linton.
He is survived by: his wife Martha McDevitt; his sons, George Lee McDevitt and Johnny McDevitt; his granddaughter Hayley Anne McDevitt; and his siblings, Charles McDevitt, Jr., Howard "Pumpkin" McDevitt, Darren McDevitt and Cheryl Linton.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
