He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Lewis and Peggy Ann Breeding Yates; and his brother Allen Fuller Yates. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hale Yates; his children, Adrienne Shular (Bryce) and Nathan Yates (Chloe); his grandchildren, Noah Hale, Hadley Hale and Silas Yates; his mother-in-law Magalene Hale; his siblings-in-law, Matt Hale and Patricia Yates; his niece Kayla Stiltner (Chris); his great-nephews, Dalton Fields and Evan Stiltner; and his great-niece Nevaeh Stiltner.
