He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Young Perkins, Sr. and Tomme Honeycutt Perkins; his wife Beckie Dawson Perkins (Ivis Vance Perkins); his sons-in-law, Stephen W. Phelps and Charles Edward "Buzz" Vance; and his stepdaughter Rosalie Schrimsher Cool.
He is survived by: his sister Star Perkins Weikel; his nephews, Mark, Tim and Erich Weikel; his children, Martha Faye Perkins, Mary Tom Perkins (Bill) and John Andrew Perkins (Betty); his stepchildren, Gail Vance, Christopher Vance (Teresa) and Lisa Vance Richmond (Kenneth); his granddaughter Sara Dawson Perkins; his stepchildren, Roxann Perkins Pickard (Derek), Samuel Jose Perkins, Emelinda Bess Perkins, Mary Larkin Douthitt, Robert Stafford, Bruce Wayne Bargeron and Joseph Kent Bargeron; his stepgrandchildren, Christopher Robert Vance (Monica) and Thomas Edward Vance (Stacie); his great grandchild Sylvie Celeste Pickard; his stepgranddaughter Happy Jean Vance; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Amelia Jane Vance.
