He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder C. J. Baker and Rosa Whittaker Baker; his siblings, John Baker (Margie), Norman Baker, Mary Baker and Charlene Smith; and his stepson D. Joe Sorrell, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Linda Baker; his son Tommy R. Baker; his stepson Stephen Sorrell (Jill); and his daughter-in-law Penny Sorrell (late Joe Sorrell). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services (417 Lee St, Bristol, VA 24201). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Miller Cemetery (6342 Gate City Hwy, Bristol, VA 24202).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Millers Cemetery, 6342 Gate City Highway, Bristol, VA 24202.
