He was predeceased by: his parents, Burb Lester and Spicy Keen Lester; and his siblings, Jerry Lester, Kenneth Lester and Geneva Matney.

He is survived by: his wife Bernie Sue Hensley Lester of Bristol, VA; his children, Bradley Vaughn Lester of Reston, VA and Tawnya Hope Ruggieri (Mike) of Bristol, TN; his grandchildren, Madeline Valentine Ruggieri of Bristol, TN, Michael Vaughn Ruggieri of Bristol, TN and Maxwell Thomas Ruggieri of Bristol, TN; and his brothers, Jennings Lester (Barbara) of Sevierville, TN and Otis Lester of Cedar Bluff, VA.. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
