She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Lester and Nancy Bell Malone; and her brother Aaron Lester Malone, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Wood; her children, Lesli Averett (Reese) and Charles Nile Mixon; her stepdaughter Amber Walter (Andy); her grandchildren, Austin and London Averett; her great grandchild Baylee Averett; and her siblings, David Malone, Beth Stout (Mike) and Lisa Blankenbeckler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Grace Point Church (1318 Shelby St, Bristol, TN 37620). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at the Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park (2630 TN-75, Blountville, TN 37617).
