He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Hampton Massie III and Grace Wallihan Massie; his grandparents, Pearl, George Wallihan, Ada Mae and Wade Massie; his sister Brooke Massie; and his parents-in-law, Gwen and Karl Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Meredith Smith; his children, Gwen Wind (Ryan), Grace Harrison (JP) and Wade Massie (Mary West); his siblings, Mike Massie (Toni), George Massie (Katie) and Nancy Wiley (Justin); his siblings-in-law, Sherry Crumley (Jim) and Tom Smith (Barbara); and his grandchildren, Cooper, Meredith, Wallihan "Wally" Wind, Jack and Will Harrison. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
