It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karl E. Gansberg Jr. (Bristow, Virginia), born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Langraf-Gansberg and Katherine Pfrommer; and his former wife Sylvia Merriman. He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Gansberg; his daughter Sharon Levy (Larry); his stepdaughters, Donna Akers, Lisa Skelton (Brooks) and Nancy Akers (Roman); his grandchildren, Shaun Irvin (Karine), Krystal Lipke (Brad) and Nygel Irvin; his stepgranddaughter Christina Strand (Dereck); his great grandchild Christopher Lipke; and his half-sister Gail Foster.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Toys for Tots or the Christian Appalachian Project.
