He was predeceased by : his daughter Tracy Long; his parents, James Long and Ida Long; his brothers, Jimmy, Donnie and Boyd Long; and his son-in-law Mike Gesling.

He is survived by : his daughters, Lisa Robertson (Eddie) and Tara Gesling; his grandchildren, Renee Hogan, Tina Hogan (Patrick), Brianna Gesling, Billy Robertson (Krystal) and Ryan Carter; and his brothers, Wayne Long (Linda), Frank Long (Aprele) and Mark Long (Lisa). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
