With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bruce Elwood Secrist of Broadway, Virginia, born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2024 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by : his parents, Monroe Harvey and Edna Marie Dove Secrist; his wife Patricia Ann Golladay; his brother Ronnie Secrist; and his close friend Patsy Reese.

He is survived by : his children, Melinda G. Secrist (Juan Frank) of Broadway and Brian Secrist (Josette) of Broadway; his stepson Kevin Barb of Broadway; his grandchildren, Taylor Secrist and Brandon Secrist; and his great grandchild Zara.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home Chapel (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Church of the Brethren (11374 Phillips Store Rd, Broadway, VA 22815).
