She was predeceased by: her parents, Weltie Minnick and Marie Long Minnick; her son Terry Layman; and her siblings, Nancy Lloyd, Betty Ritchie, Junior Minnick and Charles Minnick.
She is survived by: her son Ronald Layman of Harrisonburg; and her sisters, Peggy Merica of Broadway and Dianna Halterman of Broadway. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 7 foster children.
