He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sterling Bowman Shell and Mary Armentrout Shell; his wife Karen Page Shell of Raleigh; his daughter Annie Huskins (Troy); his stepchildren, Laura Staab (Josh) and James Harris (Erin); his grandchildren, Josey Pangle (Shayna), Lottie Staab, Leon Harris, Luke Staab and Arthur Harris; his great grandchildren, Colter Pangle and Odie Pangle; his mother-in-law Nanette Page; his sister-in-law Amy George (Mike); and his cousins, Sherry Leffel and Mary Ellen Armentrout.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fellowship Church (696 Fellowship Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802). A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at the Fellowship Social Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials made to Soapstone United Methodist Church, Fellowship Methodist Church, South River Elementary, or Transitions Life Care.
