He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Hilly" Turner and Virginia Wine Turner; and his sisters, Gloria Swope and June Branner. He is survived by: his daughters, Stacy Turner-Fulk (Melvin) and Kelly Turner Freeman (Stacy); his stepchildren, Larry Nesselrodt (Carole) and Lisa Loveless (Frank); his grandsons, Stephen Turner (Teale), Brandon Freeman (Tiffany), Matthew Fulk (Alexis DeFreese) and Bryce Freeman (Cassady); his great grandchildren, Branch and Ridge Freeman; his brother Robert Turner (Faye); and his brother-in-law Nelson Swope. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A memorial service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Cedar Run Church of the Brethren (6436 Cedar Run Trail, Broadway, VA 22815).
