Though Iris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Iris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Dove and Ressie Dove (Smith); and her husband Ersel Funk. She is survived by: her children, Randy (Debbie) of Mt. Storm, WV, Michael (Ada) of Romney, WV, Gregory (Megan) of Fulks Run, VA, Beverly Pownall (Barry) of Romney and Mary Puffenbarger (Ron) of Broadway, VA; and her siblings, Evelyn See of Timberville, VA, Erma Brown of Strange Creek, WV and Kenneth Dove of Wardensville, WV.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
