He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester A. and Mary E. Lohr. He is survived by: his children, Lester Lohr (Pam) and Stacy Alder (Helen); his granddaughter Ashley Newcity (Colin); his great grandchildren, Gray and Wells Newcity; his siblings, Roland "Jake" Lohr (Eileen), Gary Lohr (Ellen) and Joyce Estep; his sisters-in-law, Janice Foltz and Joyce Hartman; and his pets, Miss Gracie and Puffy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
