It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Kathryn Hulvey of Broadway, Virginia, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Mary Kathryn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary Kathryn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Fulk and Vita Fulk (Souder). She is survived by: her children, Kathie Jo Hulvey of Broadway, Jeffrey J. M. Hulvey of Broadway and Terry Hulvey (Sharon Bogle) of New Market; her sister Nancy Moore (Lonnie) of Winchester; and her pets, Sam and Hattie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
