He was predeceased by: his parents, Olen Salyer and Madge E. Nickels Salyer; and his daughter Cindy Salyer. He is survived by: his children, Gil Salyer, Lisa Travis, Perry Salyer (Melissa) and Amanda Cousins; and his sister Barbara Testerman (Jim). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815).
