She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Henry Johnson and Elsie Serrell Hunt Johnson; and her daughter Wanda Gayle Elam. She is survived by : her sons, James Alfred Elam, Jr. (Carolyn) of Brookneal and Ronnie Dale Elam of Brookneal; her granddaughter LaKeisha Elam of Brookneal; her siblings, Walter Johnson (Roberta) of Brookneal, Van R. Johnson of Gladys, Leroy Johnson (Wanda) of Halifax, Harry E. Johnson (Annie) of Nathalie, John Paul Johnson (Darlene) of Vinton and Florence E. Johnson of Forest; and her brother-in-law John Elam of Brookneal. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
