He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Lynwood Hamlett and Beulah Nash Hamlett Saylor; his stepfather Arthur Ray Saylor; his brothers, Gilbert P. Hamlett, Kenneth N. Hamlett and William H. Hamlett "Billy"; and his grandson Daniel Wayne Tate.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon H. Daubenspeck (Drew) and Thomas J. Hamlett "Jack" (Amy); his fiancée Hazel J. Lockridge; his daughter Beverly Tate (David); his grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Travis Hamlett, Allen Wayne Tate and Ann Marie Tate; his great grandchildren, Colton, Amber Lee and Abigail; and his sister Linda H. Wright (James). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
