She was predeceased by: her husband Lester Judd Smith; her son Jeffrey Smith (Jeff); and her siblings, Walker, Luther, Hubbard, Parker, Hampton, Leighton, Annie Morris, Mattie Bennett, Sadie Nelson and Irene Clark.
She is survived by: her children, Reginald "Reggie" Smith (Sheila) of Brookneal and Patricia "Trish" Conroy (Paul) of Lynchburg; her grandchildren, Patrick Conroy (Lauren), Whitney Chancellor (Kyle), Brandon Conroy, Kirstin Smith and Hannah Smith; her great grandchildren, Liam Chancellor and Bennett Chancellor; her sister Jean Bigger; and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Dodd. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
