He was predeceased by : his wife Betty Jean Godsey Howell; and his parents, Dewey Howell and Clara Dunn Howell. He is survived by : his children, Jerry Howell and Sheila Canody of Spout Spring; his grandchildren, Ryan of Lynchburg and Casey Howell of Lynchburg; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Sowell of Gladys, Dorothy Godsey of Gladys and Nancy Jordan of Brookneal. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
