He was predeceased by: his parents, Ural Sam Elder and Maggie Tibbs Elder; and his brother Robert "Bobby" Elder. He is survived by: his sister Linda Elder Witt (Gary) of Evington; his nephews, Christopher Witt (Susan) and Gregory Witt (Kim); his great-nieces, Alyssa Moon (Michael), Kara Witt, Kylie Witt and Avery Witt; Jackson and Joseph Moon.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
