He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Hersel Smith, Caleb Gorden Elswick, Noah Clarence and Thelma Ola Blankenship; and his great-grandparents, Walter Ranz, Monnie Lou Cook, Henry Cleveland, Nancy Eliza Octavia Blankenship, Thomas Mathias and Millie Ann Blankenship.
He is survived by: his parents, Roger Mitchel and Nancy Ann Blankenship Elswick of Rowe, Virginia.; his children, Kaylea Racheal Elswick of Honaker, Virginia and Connor Mitchel Elswick of Honaker, Virginia; his sister Bonnie Lynn Elswick of Pounding Mill, Virginia; his grandmother Helen Ruth Smith of Richlands, Virginia; and his close friend Trula Austin. He is also survived by several aunts and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
