He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardue Guy and Melvina Jane Boyd; and his siblings, Ella Mae Boyd, Ann Lou Colley, Carlie Irene Clevinger, Marshall Guy Boyd, Ferrell Franklin Boyd, James Howard Boyd, Charles Marion Boyd and Estel Perry Boyd.

He is survived by: his wife Hattie Regina Boyd (Howard) of Vansant, VA; his children, Randall Keith Boyd (Pamela Mullins) of South Hill, VA, Melissa Carol Gonzalez (Steven) of Collierville, TN and Christina Faye Green (Andrew) of Belcher, KY; his granddaughters, Haley Lewis (John), Samantha Gonzalez and Ashley Gonzalez; his great grandchild Aurelia Lewis; and his siblings, Dave Boyd, William Preston Boyd, Robert Boyd and Thelma Lester. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
