He was predeceased by : his parents, Marie Elsie Finchham and Leslie P. Lohr; his brother Carroll R. Lohr; his daughter Linda Gail Lohr-Freere; and his wife Jane Pleasant-Lohr.

He is survived by : his girlfriend Mary M. Lohr; his son Bernard P. Lohr; and his sisters, Charlene Lohr and Ellen Lull. He is also survived by two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dunkum Funeral Home (16923 Oak St, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Graham Cemetery (14191 Constitution Hwy, Orange, VA 22960).
