He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Mollie Huskey Manis and David Arthur Manis; his siblings, Glenn Manis, Vaughan Manis (Maye), Hugh Manis, T. M. Manis, Lucille West (Luke), Betty Carr (Frank) and Ruby Harris (Joe); and his sister-in-law June Panter (Inez Gibby).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Manis; his brother Paul Manis (Brenda) of Tennessee; his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Manis of Virginia and Helen Manis of Tennessee; his brother Billy; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Gibby of North Carolina and David Panther of North Carolina. He is also survived by his family, church family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Concord Baptist Church (12053 Francisco Rd, Farmville, VA 23901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM at the same location.
