He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Beau Sharpe and John Walter Jamerson of Buckingham; his son Dennis Sterling Jamerson; and his siblings, Raymond Jamerson, Beulah Jamerson Staton and Lorna Jamerson.

He is survived by: his wife Anne Floyd Wood Jamerson; and his children, Douglas Irving (Harriette Cosby) and Sandra (Joseph Bartell). He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
