She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Henri Debayle Sacasa (Emelina Tercero Terán Debayle) and Margaret Mary Power; her sister Melba; and her former husband Jack. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Cherniske; her siblings, Enrique José Debayle (Emy) of San José and Maria Lourdes Debayle Palazio of Managua, Nicaragua; and her children, Mackenzie, Bubba, Jacob, Liam Thames, Donna Miles, Judith Chairez and Amma. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and their beautiful children.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the LOTUS Shrine at Yogaville, a sacred space honoring all faiths and spiritual paths - one that Amma deeply cherished.
