It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michelle Yoder (Buckingham, Virginia), who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Kapity and Mildred Kapity (Kozobarich); her brother Steven Kapity; and her former husbands, Robert Simons and Allen Yoder of Yoder's Senior Care Home.
She is survived by: her siblings, Gary Kapity (Lynne) and Janel Johnson (Doug); her children, Jeffery (Kimberly), Christopher Simons (Kim N.) and Kathleen Simons; her stepchildren, Rachel Bird (Jeff), Michael Yoder and LaRoy Yoder (Rebecca); her grandchildren, Kelsey Simons (Taylor), William Simons (Brooke), Hayley Simons, Krysia Simons, Collin Simons, Anna Herrick (Michael), Weston Willyard, Macy Willyard and Robyn Willyard; her stepgrandchildren, Korey Yoder, Nicholas Yoder, Nicole Bird, Lucia Bird and Samantha Yoder; her great grandchildren, Emi, Makenna Willyard and Emma Herrick; and her stepgreat-grandson Noah Yoder.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Maysville Baptist Church (13327 W James Anderson Hwy, Buckingham, VA 23921). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
