She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas S Maxey and Nellie Gay Goin-Maxey; and her siblings, Mary L Taylor (Robert) and Thomas Maxey Jr. (Sue). She is survived by: her husband Basil Lewis Taylor; her children, Nellie L Dean (Barry), Roger L Taylor, Sandra K Jones (Donald) and Lorretta Lynn Baird (Brian); her grandsons, Lewis Winslett, Stephen, Timothy Cross and Brian K Baird; her great grandchildren, E'Layna and E'Vaya Baird; her niece Patsy Benway; and her nephew JT Maxey.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rocky Mount Church (348 Rocky Mountain Rd, Dillwyn, VA 23936). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the Rocky Mount Church Cemetery (348 Rocky Mountain Rd, Dillwyn, VA 23936).
