It is with sadness that the passing of Carolyn Glasscock Winstead of Buffalo Junction, Virginia is shared. Carolyn, born on September 28, 1944 in Boydton, Virginia, passed away on September 25, 2026. She was predeceased by: her husband Marcellus Dodson Winstead; her daughter Priscilla Jordan; her parents, Rufus Howard Glasscock and Myrtle Sue Glasscock; her siblings, Alice Tuck, Herbert Glasscock and Howard Glasscock, Jr.; and her granddaughter Samantha Jordan.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Winstead (Jennifer) and Tony Deal (Judy); and her sisters, Ann Waskey and Carrie Lee Haley. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Buffalo Baptist Church (803 Buffalo Church Rd, Buffalo Junction, VA 24529). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery (803 Buffalo Church Rd, Buffalo Junction, VA 24529).
In lieu of flowers, Carolyn's family ask that donations be made to the Clarksville Ruritan Club in her memory.
