With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Pittard (Buffalo Junction, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie W. Bowden, Sr. and Barbara H. Fox; her husband Ralph Monroe Pittard, Jr.; her brother Johnny W. Bowden, Jr.; her niece Lisa C. Bowden; and her great-nephew Christopher Bowden.
She is survived by: her sister Phyllis B. Slonaker (David); her sibling's children, John W. Bowden III, Joseph A. Bowden, Holly E. Schnell (Bob) and Kara E. Bowden; her sister-in-law Dyan Pittard Willis (Bill); and her sibling's children, Kit Willis Rutherford (Jay) and Tyler M. Willis (Jennifer).
