As Evelyn departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Evelyn. Though Evelyn may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter C. Bagby and Hester Bagby; her husband John P. Davis; her daughter Judith Anne Davis-Poore; and her sister Paulette Barnes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jimmy Bagby (Alethia) of Bumpass, Virginia, Leslie Bagby (Jeanne) of Bumpass, Virginia and Josephine Bowles of Richmond, Virginia; and her friend James Grady of Mineral, Virginia.. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holly Grove Christian Church (163 Holly Grove Dr, Bumpass, VA 23024). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired, 397 Azalea Avenue, Richmond, VA 23227, or the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
