He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Bowman and James Bowman; his son Darrell William Spencer; and his siblings, Randolph, Cecil Bowman and Ethel Bryant.
He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Humphries Bowman; his children, Charles Hugh Spencer III and Catherine Dail; his grandchildren, Darrell Spencer Jr., Jordan Spencer Dail and Cailin Hope Dail; and his siblings, George, Joe Marvin, Clyde, Edward, Riley, Henry Bowman and Hazel Burley.
