She is survived by: her daughter Diana Lynn Slate; her daughter-in-law Debbie Abernathy; her grandchildren, Donald D. Abernathy, Jr. (Kim), Nathan Slate (Liz), Allison Maddox (Morgan), Nikole Jenkins (Joseph W. Abernathy III) and Trey (Tiffany); her great grandchildren, Trey, Nicholas, Katlyn, Samantha, Jason, Ryan, Trinity and Lexi; her great great grandchild Kaiden; and her sisters, Hazel Nelson (Bob) and Alice Freeman.
