He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Cassell; his wife Mabeline Lillian Haynes McMillian; his children, Elizabeth Ann McMillian, Linda McMillian Haynes and Donald McMillian; his daughter-in-law Cathy; and his siblings, Eulala McMillian Dawson, Mabel McMillian Utt, Dwight McMillian and Earl Eden McMillian.

He is survived by: his children, Gaye McMillian Nichols (Denny), Pamela McMillian Hartgrove (William) and Glenn Calvin McMillian; his son-in-law Gary Haynes; his grandchildren, Denny Nichols, Jr. of Steven Nichols, G. L, Candace, Misty Easter, Marty, Glen Donald McMillian, Chasity McMillian and David Hartgrove; and his siblings, Opal McMillian Thomas, Clinton McMillian (Gaye), Clayton McMillian (Darlene) and Ross McMillian. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
