She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Richmond and Mamie Crotts Richmond; her husband James Thurmond Potts; her son Michael Thurmond Potts; her sister Beulah Hale; her brothers-in-law, Leonard Hale and Roger Shinault; and her brother Frank Richmond.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Potts, Joe Lopez, Teresa Ann LaRue, Tim, Timothy Dwayne Potts and Crystal; her sister-in-law Mary Johnson (Tootsie); her close friend Robert Hurt; and her cousin Patsy Easter. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel (1035 N Main St, Hillsville, VA 24343). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Love Cemetery.
