Lucille Marion Evans Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucille Marion Evans of Cana, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lucille Marion Evans to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lela Mae and William Henry Marion, Jr.; her husband George Kellock Carpenter; and her siblings, Opal (Reuben McCraw), Edith (Harlie Jones), Walter (Beverly Marion) and Jimmie Marion.
She is survived by: her children, Danny, Julie Carpenter of Statesville, Jennifer, William Harold of Cana and Virginia; her grandchildren, Danielle Carpenter, Quinn Fable, Dustin Vaughn, Kell Harold, Alexis and Brandon Pearson; her great grandchild Cael Sinclair; her brother James Edsel (Louise Marion); and her sister-in-law Betty Marion.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery (2826 Pipers Gap Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Woltz Hospice Home, P.O. Box 326, Dobson, North Carolina 27017.
