She was predeceased by: her parents, Rory Flemming and Nellie Browning Flemming; her husband Darrell Gene Dalton; her daughter Laura Baker; and her siblings, Roy Blankenship and Debbie Blankenship.
She is survived by: her daughter Valerie Marie Shinault of Floyd, Virginia; her grandchildren, Jason Shinault (Adrianna) of West Jefferson, Haley Lineberry, Dakota Edwards and Sarah Jennings; and her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Shinault, Aurora Shinault, Dalton Shinault, Aleesia Shinault and Shelby Tucker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
