She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonah Gilbert and Ellen Louvinia Hawks Hawks; her former husband Robert Weldon Edwards; her husband Lewis Farris; and her siblings, Helen Isabell Hawks Edwards, Ethel Hawks Edwards, Mary Maude Hawks Edwards, Robert "Bob" Steve Hawks, John Henry Hawks, Jessie Hawks, Junior "Blacky" Hawks and Clarence Hawks.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra "Sandy" Edwards, Rodney Edwards and Jeffery Edwards (Tina); her grandchildren, Wendy Easter (Dale), Alisha Edwards (Timmy), Rodney Edwards, Jr. (Kayla), James Estep, Jr., Holly Estes, Colby Edwards and Casey Estes; her brother Earl Hawks; and her siblings-in-law, Polly Hawks and Troy Edwards. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church (697 Sandy Ridge Rd, Cana, VA 24317). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
