He is survived by: his wife Diane Dawson; his children, Pam Rutherford of Cana, Phillip Dawson of Cana and Danny Dawson of Ararat, VA; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Abby Goad) and Katrina (Shawn Gilley); his great grandchildren, Opal Gilley and Gus Gilley; his siblings, Rovetia Marion of Cana and Raymond Dawson of Cana; and his nibling Terry Lynn Davis.
