He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Scala and Mildred DeVaeu Scala. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Costello Scala; his sons, Anthony Scala of Cape Charles, Michael Scala of Pennsylvania and Matthew Scala of New York; his sisters, Grace Bowie of New Jersey, Margie Bushman of New Jersey, Jean Corccaro of New Jersey and Theresa Scala of New Jersey; and his granddaughter Claire Scala of New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.

“We are sorry to hear of Tony's passing. He was a good friend and was always willing to help when someone was in need. There are many / many people who stayed in Kiptopeke campground who owe Tony a thank you for making their time there more pleasant and rewarding.
