With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sue Pruitt of Cape Charles, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sue left this world on July 14, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Clement Melvin Pruitt; her parents, Virgil Casey Stevenson and Katherine Stevenson Penney; and her siblings, Martha Parsley Rice and Robert Dukes Stevenson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Martha Pruitt Holdsworth (Walt) and Penney Pruitt Holland (Jeff); her sister Esther Vaughan; her grandchildren, Hayes Holdsworth, Reid Holdsworth (Davianna), Payton Holdsworth (Madison), Logan Holland (Abby) and Ben Holland; her great grandchild Tucker Holland; and her close friend Kitty Hickman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cape Charles Cemetery (3229 Old Cape Charles Rd, Cape Charles, VA 23310). A reception will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at 14 Waters Edge Dr, Cape Charles, VA 23310.
