He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wingate Futrell Sr. and Hazel Elizabeth Scott Futrell. He is survived by: his wife Alease Radford Futrell; his children, Wingate "Win" Futrell, III (Pattie), David Futrell, Belinda F. Taylor (Bobby), Keith Futrell (Wendy) and Chad Futrell; his grandchildren, Lindsey Futrell, Joshua Holsclaw, Denny Taylor, Berkley Futrell, Eric Jenkins (Hailey) and Haleigh Duncan; and his sister Flora Ann Williams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Newsoms Volunteer Fire Department, Courtland Volunteer Fire Deptartment, or the American Cancer Society.
