He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Constance, Roger Sturgeon and Nancy Kirby; and his cousin Obadiah Roberts. He is survived by: his daughter Emersen Kerns; his sister Tiffani Kerns; and his parents, Torii Kerns and Larry Kerns.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to his daughter, Emersen, and her future to come.
