He is survived by: his wife Jane Callis Byrd; his son Elliott Coleman Byrd II; his daughter-in-law Amy; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Coleman Spain (Cole) and Scott Elliott Byrd; his stepgranddaughter Amanda Glaser; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Luke and Chloe.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Liberty Live Church (1021 Big Bethel Rd, Hampton, VA 23666). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Albert G. Horton Jr. State Veterans Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
