He is survived by: his siblings, Bill and Katherine; his wife Elizabeth Byrd; his sister Jeannette Palmer (John); his children, Jennifer Leigh White and Richard Kilgore Byrd (Carey); and his grandchildren, Nicholas (Sydney), Jack, Madeline and Harrison.
