He was also cherished by four step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family.

I am sure Coach Opauski and Coach Hardee were at the gates of Saint Peter to greet him. Even the years after I graduated, and he was still playing, I would go to the home games and afterwards greet him on the field and he always made me feel like an important member of the team.
