He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lafayette "Bill" Blythe and Louvenia Byrd Blythe. He is survived by: his daughters, Anna-Lee Blythe, Mary Alice Wilkey (Nathan) and Jessica Newsome (Brady); his siblings, Shelby Blythe Coggsdale (J. W. Coggsdale, Jr.), Carolyn Blythe Thornton (Bill) and William L. "Billy" Blythe, Jr. (Julie); and his grandchildren, L. T. Foster and Grayson Foster.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
